Run For Fun

The 18th of May, 2008 was not going to be a dull and sleepy Sunday morning for the enthusiastic Bangaloreans who turned up in large numbers to be a part of the Sunfeast World 10k. The country's first and the world's richest 10k run was graced by the presence of Bollywood biggies likes Rahul Bose and Dino Morea, sports veterans like Vijay Amritraj and Dhanraj Pillai and the much sought after Bengalooru boy, Ganesh. While some folks ran for a cause, the others ran for fun. A riot of colours, innovative costumes, loud sloganeering, passionate cheering and oodles of energy marked the event which was a run away success.
The 10k Run For Elite Men, 10k Run For Elite Women, the 4k Run For Senior Citizens, the 4k event for the differently abled and the Majaa Run, were the various events that the participants could choose from. Here are some snapshots from the grand 5.7Km Majaa Run....
